Tuition

The cost for the one-week session is $900, which includes course tuition, an air conditioned room and meals, all activities, an academy t-shirt, and other materials.

Once you confirm your acceptance to the Academy, you will pay $450 by April, 17th, 2022 to secure your place in the Academy.  The remaining tuition must be paid, no later than June 3rd, 2022.

Students should also bring spending money. While spending varies from student to student in such programs, most students would be unlikely to spend more than $75 on memorabilia, snacks, or program activities.

Students are encouraged to discuss budgeting of money with their parents before coming to the Academy.  The Academy is not responsible for students’ spending choices.

ATSU-Truman Healthcare Academy also provides a “Hall Store” in conjunction with the Joseph Baldwin Academy, which is located near the dining hall.  There they can purchase drinks, snacks, and other academy-related items.

A $40.00 room key deposit and processing fee will be required upon check-in to cover lost keys. When you return your key at the conclusion of the Academy, you will receive a refund of this deposit.

Refund Policies 

To request a tuition refund you must email the Academy at tiacademies@truman.edu.

Up to and including June 2, 2022 at midnight: 100% tuition refund for any reason

June 3, 2022 – June 11, 2022 at midnight: 100% tuition refund for medical or family emergency*

Beginning day one of the Academy, tuition refunds will be on a pro-rated basis for medical or family emergencies only*.  The pro-rated tuition amount is: $150 per day.

Please note that tuition refunds take approximately 10 – 14 business days to process from the time of withdrawal and are issued via check.  Please also allow time for U.S. Postal Service delivery.  When taking into consideration U.S. Postal Service delivery, it may take up to three weeks to receive your refund.

*Tuition refunds after the stated deadline are only for medical or family emergencies*

Please note that family activities, vacations, sports activities, events, homesickness, changes in schedule/plans, unexpected visitors, etc. are not deemed family emergencies and as such will not receive a tuition refund. All tuition refund requests must be emailed to: tiacademies@truman.edu.

Tuition refunds will not be given to any student who is dismissed from the Academy for disciplinary reasons.
