A PRE-COLLEGE SUMMER ACADEMY
ATSU-Truman Healthcare Academy
The ATSU-Truman Healthcare Academy is a summer academy aimed at high school students who will have completed grades 9-11 at the end of the school year. Partnering with A.T. Still University, Truman State University offers high school students interested in a career in the healthcare field a week on campus to learn about health professions through hands-on activities and stimulating discussions. Students live in a residence hall on the Truman campus under the supervision of resident staff and preceptors and participate in a variety of activities held each day.
Student eligibility
To be considered for admission to this residential summer program, high school students must have completed the 9th, 10th or 11th grade by June of the Healthcare Academy session.

All application materials must be received by April 15, 2024.
2024 Tuition: $975
Includes courses, housing, meals, activities, t-shirt, and related materials
Application Process
Applications for Summer 2025 will open in November 2024.
To apply for the ATSU-Truman Healthcare Academy, students must:
- complete the online application (including essays)
- provide two years worth of transcripts
- provide contact for an educator recommendation
- complete Signature Page and submit all requested materials by the deadline.
